Has anyone noticed the miniumum donation to charity is £5? Watching stand up to cancer minimum doantion applies ,just watched the great sewing bee on BBC2 same thing minimum donation WTF ?
Something to do with credit card charges, like in a shop/pub?

I suppose they figure that the most people prepared to donate (which don't forget is always a minority of those watching) will donate once regardless of the actual number, and the number of people put off by the extra £4 is less than 5x the number of people who would only pay £1 before.
£5 is a beer and a posh packet of crisps in my local, or 2 beers in the cheep bar.
