Broke my arm last night after a nice wee off. Now need my arm plated together. Gutted. Surgery on Friday. Gutted. No bike for minimum 12 weeks. Did I say that I was gutted? Haggis Jnr arriving in 2.5 weeks. Gutted. Next couple of weeks will be spent playing Xbox I think. Only thing I'm not gutted about is I might skip nappy duty for a week or so 🙂

Any suggestion from you guys as to what to amuse myself doing until baby comes along?

Nah, you can change nappies one-handed. 😈

Look on the bright side - at least you didn't break it on the first day of a two week Alpine mountain biking holiday in France. Like my husband did. 😆

So he's three weeks ahead of you. And the positive side of what you have done is that you won't be in a cast.

Get well soon!

You can still ride - it's your arm, not your leg

Just don't fall off

Broken humerus doesn't sound that funny

Similar position, I'm 4 weeks in to a broken collarbone that was pinned 2 weeks ago. So I probably have another 6 weeks off the bike as it's still pretty painful if I try and do anything with it at all.

Take the time to earn some brownie points with the family situation, and enjoy the time with the little one.

As for amusing yourself, watching videos of other people riding, the xbox, TV and alcohol are keeping me going!

Heal fast.

Definitely can't ride. Broke my elbow at end of April. Thought I'd be able to ride with one arm.....try getting on and of a bike without using both arms, not easy....neither is turning the bike....and it's sooooo sore!

What's going on? So many people having accidents.

I've just returned from my family holiday with a broken Tibia and Fibula with a nice plate on the Tibia.

It will be 2 weeks this Saturday and I'm itching to get back out. I had one week in Gran Canaria but spent 4 nights in hospital!
