Hi all
So after a few year focusing on Road cycling, im attempted to have a big year on the MTB. I've just gone through a phase of rebuilding my trail bike and come across a hole in my knowledge.
Cut a story short, I now how a 185mm Hope Mini V1 on the rear of my bike, i purchased a 185mm rotor for this, but it was an Avid and the depth on the rotor is not deep enough. So im looking at specific Hope rotors, and what i don't know is if the rotor depth on either a Hope Mini or Hope Mono Mini rotor would be the same? As all the modern rotors are listed as Mono Mini (MM in product code).
Thanks
Matt
Mono Mini rotors have a narrower brake track than the old Mini rotors, I think you'll aslso struggle to find the 165 and 185mm sizes* as hope shifted to 160/180/183/203 with the Mono ranges. Also, older Hope C2/O2 rotors will be deep enough but probably heavier.
*listed in stock online, but they should still be available from Hope if you ask them or your LBS.
UK bike store have them listed but as an order in item, so might as well try your LBS

185 on the rear, you must be riding stuff that's gnarly gnarly gnarly 😉
Thanks for the help. my caliper is the original 2 piece you listed first. It all came about because of some incompatibilities with a frame I was supplied under insurance. It's been a big ball ache.
The important think I know now is that a MM rotor won't work before I buy one online. I'll drop hope an email today.
Alternatively, this is the correct disc right?

I recently swapped my Mini rotors to C2 type, plenty of braking surface, and has reduced (as I hoped, though not entirely) their tendency to squeal.
I have these brakes on the hard tail and you can get upgraded Pistons and seal kits still. Mine were very prone to overheating, plastic Pistons and good fresh fluid helped. That link to uk bike store is correct.
