I'm looking to buy a new mini pump for re inflating tyres when out on a ride. My current pump doesn't have a hose, and I seem to damage presta valves.
My current bike has 27.5 x 3.0 tyres so I am looking for something that has decent volume, can be attached to the frame and has a hose. Ideally it won't remove the valve core when removed from the valve. I was looking at the mountain morph, mini morph or leyzyne hp pumps, but am open to suggestions on others.
What do you use and would you recommend it?
Sorry no answers from me but looking for the same hence a note to check back at a later date
Lezyne micro floor drive HV - High Volume. Everyone uses my pump on wednesday night rides.
You'd think the usual suspects would buy their own.
High volume doesn't mean more pumping needed, as the pressure is lower
I've a Topeak Mountain Morph and a Topeak Mountain TT Mini. I use the Morph with my fat bike and the TT with my standard MTBs which on occasion have plus tyres fitted. The TT doesn't have a hose.
Would certainly recommend the Morph, I've inflated a 4" tyre from flat in a couple of minutes with it. Not had to use the TT in anger yet.
Thanks for the responses. Sorry, I meant high volume, not high pressure. The Lezyne Floor Drive HV was one of the pumps I was looking at, it looks comparable to the Mountain Morph. I was also considering the Mini Morph, but I suspect the Mountain Morph moves more air.
Although the pressure is less it still takes more pumps with my track pump to inflate the 27.5 x 3.0 over my previous 26 x 2.3.
You could use a CO2 cartridge to get the bulk of the air in then top up with a mini pump?
So a combi mini pump that takes CO2 might be the way forward? Just a thought..
I hadn't considered CO2, that's not a bad idea so I'll look into it. I prefer the idea of just using a pump as I'm not keen on buying, carrying and disposing of the cartridges, but I'll look into it before discounting it completely.

Fine if you're not running tubeless. Less fine if you have sealant that goes hard with CO2.
Edit: +1 for Lezyne pumps, though it's worth making sure valve cores are done up tight enough...
I've had a mountain morph for what feels like forever now and it's a great pump, just keeps on going and seems to be the fastest thing out there for getting tyres up.
I use road morph/mini morph. Takes more strokes but is easier to push. Bought to fit in a bum bag. Fine for topping up + tyres.
Thanks all. I was looking at a Mountain Morph on sale but it appears to have sold. I'm really liking the look of the Lezyne micro floor drive HV, so think I'll go for that. It looks like it should last a lifetime if looked after.
I bought a Lezyne floor drive HV a month ago and it's great. All i would say though is that I went for the one with the pressure gauge in the hose that to me isn't that usable. It has 0-120 psi markings in 20 psi increments. Surely people wanting 80-120 psi pressures would buy the HP version?
If I was buying again I'd save a bit of money and buy the HV without the guage.
Thanks Pinkwafer, it's good to hear people are getting on well with them. I watched a few youtube reviews last night and a few people said the pressure gauge was a bit sticky, so I'll take your advice and order the version without the gauge.
I remembered that one of the fat bike sites did a "shoot out" between various pumps -Â https://fat-bike.com/2015/05/trail-pump-shootout/ Â the Lezyne HV came out top but I'd already got the Mountain Morph
Thanks whitestone, I found that review yesterday evening and the reviewer deciding to retire his Mountain Morph in favour of the Micro Floor Drive helped me decide between the two.
I've got Topeak Turbo Morph G... its the same as Mountain Morph but has a flip out gauge too. gauge isn't too hot, but its impressive nonetheless.
I'm also running plus (27.5+) with 2.8s. I've had one flat thus far and from that one usage the pump is awesome compared to the little pump I used to have trouble getting my 26er 2.356 tyres back inflated with!
Thanks all. I ordered the Lezyne Micro Floor Drive HV in the end, as the build quality seems good and it's rebuildable. I managed to get one from Evans eBay shop in their 20% off sale, it should be delivered today.
It did feel a bit wrong spending more than I did on my track pump, but hopefully it's worth it.
