My little 5 year old greaser is after a mini BMX for his birthday. Does anyone have any experience of these? He fancies a funk rocker but also looking at Venom and Origin. Bit worried that the rocker seems to be built from "hi tensile steel", will it be a dog?

ryan taylor has one and so does harry main, so i'm sure they'll hold up!

personally i think the ROCKER BMX brand looks like the best scaled down version of a 20" bmx!

guessing he's a giant for his age if you're even considering one

i would assume he isn't doing this, and is probably riding it like a standard bike and just looking cool, if that drop wont break one, what chance has a 5 year old got!

i say buy one, the only problem might be the riding position and looking as though he's on a custom chopper with ape hangers!

Contact your local bmx racing club and they should let you have a go on a club bike which will be ideal for sizing. Where abouts are you based?

We had a race bmx for our sons, but also owned a 16" wheeled mongoose pit crew (not a race bmx). Nice bike, proper bmx, not really light though.

Perhaps check them out, not sure if they still do them.
