Hello all.

I've got a bit of an urge to get away.

I quite fancy a bit of bike packing, only a night or two, on my CdF.

Never having done anything like this before I'd need to get some kit, but that's the easy part.

Where would people recommend in the UK for a bit of solitude, scenery, not too mental effort wise (but still with a sense of accomplishment), widernessy bike packing routes. Quite like the idea of fairly heavily forested. And bears.

I'm Leeds area based.

Kielder is probably the nearest area of mild wilderness and trees. Oh and bears too, millions of them everywhere!

I'm guessing I'm being stupid here, but I can't find any mention of a date anywhere on that site.

Ah. When you view it on mobile all you see is a video. There's absolutely no hint that there's anything below that 🙂

Thanks

Jump on a train with the CdF to Ashurst or Brokenhurst and camp/ride around the New Forest?

There's no bears, but there are owls and otters at the centre up Deerleap Lane. 😉
