never ridden here, so wondered about bike choice. Terrain would suggest shorter travel, but longer is always more fun.

135mm stump jumper?

180mm Nukeproof Giga?

WWSTWD?

I’m there next weekend for the open day. I’ve only got a Kenevo SL so that’ll have to do.

Clearly a Stooge MK4 is what you need at Milland! https://www.pinkbike.com/news/bike-check-matt-lakins-fully-rigid-stooge-cycles-mk4-enduro-race-bike.html

Whichever you can rip round corners faster! I did it the first year and that’s definitely the key to a good time there.

Milland has a decently steep hill for the south, from memory the stages certainly aren’t pedally, so I’d take whichever you’re faster on if you don’t have to pedal much.

As above something that corners well.
I’d say tyres are more critical. Something with some bite.

Loose loamy fun. Not massively steep generally.

If I do enter this year I'm looking at doing it my hardtail as I think it will make it a lot of fun. Raced 4 times and it's a great venue but does cut up really quickly.

Hardtail's always good shout at Southern Enduro. Small field, so prizes.  You probably won't win though, because Mike Smith (the hardtail one).

but, for the OP's question, whichever you can turn the quickest.  Prob the stumpy - unless you've got a 130mm stem on there? There is a bit of pedalling, esp. at the bottom of the one with the bridge, but it's  mainly about keeping momentum in tight turns in the trees.

Edit - posts crossed.  Wot you said.
