what do you use for getting the miles in.
show us a photo. I am looking for some ideas for a new lightish mile machine.
Again? You know I'm just going to post photos of my Amazon 😆
if I have asked before, then apologies........but you could post anyway.
just to humour a senile old fool..... 😆
Apart from the road bike I use daily to commute on I use this to play on trails and toe paths[URL= http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y201/dodger522/bike%20stuff/20140818_093553_zpsyeldfnt8.jp g" target="_blank">

Built for the LEL, and training before-hand. Now mainly used for my 35km (each way) commute. According to Strava, I've done about 5,500 km on it in 18 months. Comfiest bike in the world.
Which on-one's that bandito?
that looks very nice, as does the kona. I was looking at a kona honky tonk recently. it would be ideal.
It's now got black bar tape but this is the only pic I've got.

Great on short local spins or 100 milers, super comfy.
treaclesponge - what make of bike is that?
Which on-one's that bandito?
Its the original tinbred-cross. "DN6 Lite" tubeset. Disc brake mount WAY before they were even thought of on 'cross bikes, let alone legal by the UCI.
I've no idea how old it is, possibly getting for 8-10 years now. I bought the frameset from mcmoonter a couple of years ago.

I know its pretty subtle isnt it

Salsa Vaya. Just rebuilt after a heartbreaking non-warrantiable moment of stupidity in some steep rocks. Otherwise great bike which occasionally has me doubting why I bothered getting a road bike as well (instead of a mountainbike which would have saved me in the aforementioned steep rocks... 😥 )

Great to see it being used to its full potential. 😀
Scandal posing as a SS roadbike with 2.35" Big Apple tyres. Good for a one day 120 mile loop around Wester Ross.

But it's been reverted to mtb status because I've had this mile muncher returned to me from a longterm loan

1930s 28" wheel bike with rod brakes. Really comfortable for 100 mile days in the Highlands.
On a scale of epic from 1 to 10 that is off the scale, your user name is well deserved 😀
I'm normally quite a sedate rider, enjoying the scenery and being out in the fresh air chilling out on the bike. Then I went and bought this....

I've never ridden a bike like it, It's a bike that makes you want to push so hard for so long, every little bit of effort is translated into propelling the bike forwards but it's so comfortable to ride as well. One day I might do it justice.
I use a Trek 2300 the wheel have been changed now to HED belgium C2 tubulars 28H laced to silver record hubs. Riding on 25mm conti competiton tubs and loving it. [URL= http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee297/bm0p700f/P1010039_zpsb634d7e5.jp g" target="_blank">

Most miles get done on the comuter but it's too hideous to post a pic of. 🙂
I've not owned a modern road bike, so put this together for just over £200.
Surprised at how easily the miles slip by.
Keep looking at the Fargo, as it would fill the roles of at least two bikes.

Singular Kite.
Judging by the amount of bikes lacking mudguards on here, it seems that a lot of you don't 'do' group/club rides? I'm all for a bit of solitude and time alone, but there must be some right anti-social buggers round here... 😆
Condor Fratello. Dead comfy, beautiful and will just keep rolling

I have mudguards and mainly ride on-road my own. Go figure.
or_bandito
Your frame is a TiX. It's not DN6, which is inbred steel tubing - they just put those stickers on. I have one too, SH off here and agree that they're ace. Commute, road touring, trail flouncing, 3 pks CX - good for it all. Nick Craig raced one years ago in the 3 pks. Hope V twin has been the best addition to mine.
Mudguards to be fitted to mine shortly. Mainly ride road/off road on it, and usually solo jaunts as well. Guards are going to be there for both the bike and I.
My MTB riding is the more social of the two, I use the Diverge to get out for a couple of hours of fun local blasting around.

I know.
Its the original tinbred-cross
The stickers say "DN6 Lite" which Brant has stated previously is a tongue-in-cheek joke.
Mudguards all year but almost no social riding due to time constraints.
MTB does the social stuff most weeks.

Spend about half my riding time on this mostly commuting. Just passed the 1500mile mark in it's first year (and a couple of days). In that mileage the Scott CX was already cracked doing the same job and this rides so much better (not so hot offroad mind but can do it)
Mudguards? It doesn't rain that much down here.
