Going to be working down near Worthing for the next 10 weeks. Anyone recommend any mtb clubs that are down that way which head out during the week?

Pedal&Spoke sometimes do a mid week shop ride, call them or msg them via FB messenger, not sure if Nirvana cycles do a mid week ride.

I know some folks from Beyond MTB bike tend to do mid week evening rides but call the shop again.

There's a small Worthing contingent on here.  They might be along in a minute.  They're not slow, though!

South Downs bikes in Storrington do a shop ride, first Wednesday of each month starting at 6:30pm.

Quest Adventure in Worthing do shop rides on Thursday evenings again starting at 6:30pm, they also do beer and pizza rides as well 🙂

Plenty of riders heading out from Worthing or surrounding area.

Most for happy for someone to tag along and be shown the area including the cake and beer stops. You can't go too far wrong to be honest.

Ensure a trip to Whiteways near Arundel as well.

Whereabouts will you be staying ?

Cheers for the replies.

Most likely be in Worthing, need to sort out accomodation. Hoping work will let me stay in an airbnb, 10 weeks of hotels will drive me mad

Happy to ride with you - I am in Broadwater, half a mile from the start of the climb to Cissbury between the Golf courses. I can ride from 5.30pm or so and can show you the trails, including Steyning Bike Park.

Stuff at steyning ok on a fashionably slack 29er hardtail? Don't really want to be leaving the big bike in a hotel or in the back of the work car!

Yeh, you’ll be fine. Bring lights. We ride every Tuesday at 7:30 from Worthing or by pre arrangement one of the local woods, 2.5hrs ish, finish at a pub. There are Stanmer rides 7pm Tue and Thursday. There’s another worthing ride On Wednesdays, South Downs Bikes does shop rides but they’re pretty busy.

email in profile.

(I might have a contact for a whole house short let depending on your work budget)

James

Currently contemplating what tyres to throw on the hardtail.

Proper tyres (minion/aggressor), or more xc biased tyres?

Clay and chalk, not sure what you’ll think are best for those?
