I'm looking into ordering a new commuter. Having never ridden with drops before, i'm unsure what to get. I've read that the Midge bars make it comfortable to ride in the drops for more of the time. Any wisdom to be shared here?

I'll be riding on the country lanes of Lincolnshire, so i'm expecting to be battling the wind on a daily basis. So primarilary i'm looking for a bar that'll give me a good aero position, but still be comfortable for extended preiods.

I find midges and other similar off-road drops far too wide for regular road use. I'd recommend a regular road bar in a shallow drop. I like the Nitto randonneur style bars.
