Are there any? Are there any as good as the genuine Middleburn ring?

Cheers!

In theory there are the homebrewed components ones.
In reality he'll take your money and you may or may not get a ring 6, 9, 12 months later.

Sad, I'd like one of the Ti ones but ain't risking £140.

I'm not impressed with my middleburn ring, it's showing signs of wearing after 10 miles

Bling Ring 😉

You'll need Sram or Truvativ cranks though

Am I right in thinking there was a thread on here recently with Uno alternatives being made by someone in the UK?

Thanks in advance folks.

hardcoat or not?

what does the wear look like?

is it worth contacting middleburn, maybe it is anomalous and they would probably want to know anyway.

Back 10 years or so my middleburn rings would outlast shimano cheese by a long way, although modern rings look different now.

It looks like the ring is made of super soft alu and the pins have left indents on the face of each tooth

New chain & chainring at the same time

I was very surprised myself as I've heard good things about middleburn

and there are no stiff or warped links?

call 'em up and talk about it, doesn't sound right.

I have duo setups on 2 bikes and, although they seem lighter and more fragile than the older stuff, I haven't had any problems. Will probably convert one to an Uno.

isn't the uno chainring the spider as well, so a bit specific.

I wouldn't have thought there was enough of a market size for someone to develop an alternative.

RS7 or RS8 cranks - X type or what?

no chainline issues I take it.

I would still see what they say.

Fit one of their spiders and use any ring you fancy?

I was basically after something like Homebrewed but without the years wait, Ti would be perfect.

I have the RS8's.

I have zero problems with the Middleburn ring currently, I'm just looking to go up a few teeth and fancied a bit of bling 🙂

I run a Home Brewed Components one. Didn't wait as long as the above - right on a month, but that was when I was living in the USA.

No better nor worse. Sits there. Does its job. Looks pretty.
