I've never had these. Is it possible to convert a standard set to fit a fatbike? I'm assuming the axle is bonded/permanently fixed to the NDS.

you can buy them with a longer axle but I'm pretty sure it's fixed

Well, you're not meant To be able to completely remove the axle. However, it is possible as I've done it on my old ones. Will need a bit of effort and a breaker bar on the end of the hex key but yes, can be done.
