I have just fitted an new slx 11 speed derailleur to my bike. It seems to index fine for every gear except the very middle gear which just get skipped over to the next one, this happens both going up or down the gears.
Any ideas what is wrong?
I'd start by ensuring the hanger is straight - with the correct tool. Also change the cable - inner and outer. You can waste endless hours by avoiding these first two steps.

Got the allignment tool, turns out the hanger was well bent.
Straightened it and it now shift perfectly.
