It's been a while since I've been out due to the lurgy that refuses to go away ..but the stars aligned today when one of my long term riding buddies was also on a day off and fancied getting out there in this tropical weather...
A Bolts Law there & back ( North Pennines) was decided upon and turned out to be one of those fantastic winter rides with blue skies and grippy snow ..
Dave (Tasker) pictured going up & coming down ..

Out today for a decent length ride in the frost. The thing now really does handle superbly... Massively impressed. Just rides over stuff without even noticing.

If you stood on that bridge parapet Steve you could almost not quite see my house from there. I hate that Scutchamer climb. Never know whether to stand and grunt my way to the top or spin wildly. And its like that double 90° bend is just to stop you keeping any momentum.
Nice looking bike too. Glad you're happy with it.

Is that the large Whyte you were looking for? Did you buy it from the classifieds?

Nice looking bike.

Bloody envious of your fitness too!👍

Eddie, you could have made me a cup of coffee!

Scoop, yes mate, large. eBay not classified.

There's no fitness, selective battles, it's not like I'm 2nd out of 10,000 more like 125.

Not as such, but rode a bike around the yard briefly to test the collarbone, 3 weeks after the break and it was heaven!

was out yesterday and this morning

been the best January for riding I can remember, dry trails to start, then barmy mild road rides and hard frosts to finish, managed to rack up over 600 miles.

Yesterday, slowly slowly making progress on the trials bike, but staying a bit too much in comfort zone:

Today, new brake pads and new stainless stem bolts on the commuter, and getting slightly out of comfort zone:

Bike got a bit muddy after that but not deep countryside like the op.

Twice luckily for me. Ilkley moor Weds morning below. Then the fog and frost yesterday was magical, but didn't take my camera

and to prove I had a bike...
