Friends got an old bike they want rid of. Everything original but the rear shifter doesn't work properly.
Anyone think it is worth selling/giving away or just take it down the tip?
selling it would probably be a lot of hassle for little money... any local bike charities you could donate to? alternatively Evans are doing a trade-in deal
My bet is the rear shifter just needs flushing out with GT85 and will function fine. I wouldn't scrap it, I could make money out of it...!
My first proper MTB was a Spesh Hardrock Computer, in silver black and red. Decent frame to be honest, why not fix it's most problematic fault, clean it up and give it to someone who fits it?

What size is it WCA? Got a workmate who's after a cheap bike to commute on, if it's a smaller size may be ideal.
