Just how deep is the tread & do they dig in nice as well as roll alright?

Need something more supportive/protective in sidewalls with more aggressive tread than my Forekasters see

I like the Forekasters kinda

How do the 2.35" x 29er Michys size up?

Good tyres, been running them in 2.8 and 2.6 27.5. Come up slightly shall i.e 2.7 & 2.5.

Plenty of sidewall support and nice grippy tread.

Coolio Tom, thanks

Sounds like if they come up small...

I just found 29x2.5" versions so might get these as have room for 2.6" in frame however dunno bout running 2.5" ones of these on 24.5 mm inner width & 29.5mm outer width rims...?

Hmmmmm

Yo Tris,

Yeah I think they are pretty good, done me fine in Scottish slop as well as Spanish dust and rocks, got them on my Swarf. Hard to say how big they come up as i've got the 2.4's on pretty narrow Hope Enduro wheels..but they come up nice, wouldn't go any bigger on those rims.

I get em' for £70 for the pair so can't complain.

Edit: Scrap that...its the Wild Enduros sorry, I should learn to read.

I’m on the Enduros at the moment.  2.4s seem to size up quite a bit bigger than the Maxxis Minion 2.35s that I had before.  Knobs on the front are huge, the rear centre knobs are much lower profile for rolling resistance.

Not had them long enough to form much of an opinion but so far so good. Bought them for Morzine, but I think it’s going to be another 15 months before they get to taste french soil now 🙁

Yeah I do reckon they might be touch to h'core for Dartmoor general riding and stuff

I reckon strongly I'll go with AM versions as saving 700 grams all together is attractive

The AMs seem pretty tough. Had them on for a year and they've lasted very well.
My local riding around East Devon is on flint and pebblebeds, and only had one cut in the tyre, which fixed fine with an anchovy.

I have a Wild Enduro front I've not fitted but you should look at the Vittoria tyres. I'm loving the Martello on the rear, I was using DHR2 2.4 Exo but kept puncturing on flint. I wanted something just as grippy but with faster rolling and stronger sidewall and around the same weight. 1000g for the 29x2.35, someone here mentioned the Agarro which looks even faster.

Yup I like-em as a fast rolling rear tyre, like a scaled down Wild Enduro. Pretty robust for a lightish carcass unless you go stupid low pressure.
