Afternoon,
I seem to be destined to not own a road bike as i have missed out on a couple of deals recently..
However im not giving up and spied this:
http://www.merlincycles.com/bike-shop/bikes/road-bikes/merlin-road-bikes/merlin-malt-r-road-bike.html
Just wondering if anybody has one and what do you think of it?
Can't find a geometry online so if anybody has the top tube length for the 48 and 50cm that would be ace.. oh and the weight if possible
I also found this:

But it's a bit over budget, just wanted to share the lovelyness..
Thanks as always.
The Sensa looks nicer with similar stuff

Looked at that jonk but no carbon fork plus i prefer the look of the Merlin.
Cheers for the heads up tho mate.
I've got the Merlin RS and it's a lovely ride and very well specced for the money. It uses the same frame as the Sensa Romagna, which has a geometry chart online. Not sure if the R uses the same frame but give Merlin a phone and they will answer all your questions. Before I bought I asked for heap of geometry measurements and they measured it up for me as I was on the phone.
Cheers bam74, ill phone tomorrow, they were closed when i tried yesterday.

After hiring a Trek 1.1 for 2 weeks in Spain earlier this year, my head has been turned. I'm also considering my 1st road bike (I never saw this coming!). Whilst I don't know too much about road bikes, I have been considering the Ridley Orion with 105 components. Wiggle are selling these off at £985 ish.
However today I received an email from Wiggle about the Verenti Insight 105. After a bit of googling it looks like the Verenti is basically Wiggles own brand but the frame (and bike) appear to be made by Ridley.
So for £1056 I can have the Verenti with a FSA chain set rather than the Ridley with either a 105 or Shimano R565 chain set. Other than that their doesn't seem to be much different between the bikes. Even the geometry is the same.
I guess the difference would be in resale values in the future!
