So looking for a cheap (sub £600) gravel/commuter and the Merlin Malt G2 seems a good spec/price and they're in stock!
https://www.merlincycles.com/merlin-malt-g2-claris-gravel-bike-2022-197226.html
There's a geo/size chart on there but no size guide....
I'm 177cm (5'9.75") tall with 81cm (31') inside leg.
Any idea what size?
Thanks
53cm, possibly with a 120mm stem if it's mainly for road?
I'm exactly the same height and give or take leg measurement too. I have had 2 x 56cm Specialized Diverges and both fitted me perfectly. When I bought the first one on C2W I tried a couple of different brands and 54 and 56cm frame sizes. 56 was far and away the most comfortable. I tend to find that if the suggested size is M I'm really a L when it comes to bikes. I remember walking into Bikescene in Guisborough, to try a M full sus cos thats what the size charts said, and the guy brought me a large and said that's the one for you. It was. Tested the M too and indeed it was too small/short.
I'm 182cm/6' on the nose, long legged though.
I'm on a 56cm Merlin GP2 with the stem it came with.
Apparently I'm right at the limit - and could be on short end of 58cm frame.
Only pic ever of me on it.
Thanks all - thinking the 53 might be the way to go.
Have emailed Merlin to see what they advise.
Merlin advise a 53.
Thanks for the help guys 👍
