Looking at these 2 bikes although as they’re relatively new there’s not a huge amount of information available on them but thought I’d ask and see if anyone has either and if so what your thoughts are but also if anyone sees anything I’ve missed in the spec that may separate one from the other.

Personally I’d never heard of Merida before so again if anyone knows anything about the company generally and what their reputation for quality is like would be good??

Merida are probably one of the top 5 biggest manufacturers in the world! Never had a huge MTB market share in the UK,  but in terms of road biking they've been a big player for years.

My lbs sells em, silex they have in the window right now is a bloody nice bike, even though they have it next to a real nice bianchi too!.

I have a merida cx500,  good bike, nothing to get excited about, but that's generally just cos it's only my commuter, and road/cx/gravel bikes just don't excite me at all.

Cheers for that, weird that I've never come across them before ... maybe because up until now have been more MTB orientated.

Chances are you’ve owned a bike that had the frame built by Merida

they are mostly great bikes, but then again so are cannondale, if a bit quirky .
