Hi everyone, I've got a couple of tickets to watch the men's road race on Box Hill, but can't decide how to get there. I live 20 miles away in South London so it's an easy ride, but cycle storage will be limited so we may have to lock up our bikes elsewhere and walk a long way in cycle shoes to get into the site (hand baggage is limited so I don't want to carry extra shoes). Then again it's also an easy train journey from mine, but it just seems a bit strange to take the train to watch a bike race when I would normally cycle.
What are other people doing?
Thanks in advance...

Walking across some fields 🙂

We plan to get a lift to as near as we can get - hopefully Tadworth or Walton, and bike from there (with kids, 1 on a Tagalong), taking a punt on the secure bike store being close to the enclosure and enough space, so I don't recommend anyone else doing the same, so we have space!
Can't come up with a better way to get there... Really looking forward to it though, and I laid down a marker for the Sky team on Sunday with 2 laps of the Box Hill loop in 48 mins (as part of a 3 hr ride). Beat that Cav (hopefully!)
most spectators will be on high end Williers, Cervelos, Pinarellos, Colnagos, etc. unless you want to look foolish you need to turn up on one of these with matching team suits and booties.
Phone G4S and offer to wear a high vis vest for the day, they'll helicopter you in.
