On the BBC here. Be a while until the top guys are off. It's a long one and maybe not the most interesting to watch, but it'll definitely be tense at the end. Can it really be anyone other than Wiggins, Cancellara, Martin and maybe Phinney?

Yes, but very unlikely.

I'll say: Martin, Wiggins, Cancellara in that order

Think it would be considered quite an upset if that wasn't at least the podium.

I though Luke Dunbrdige would be racing for Aus but he's not on the start list.

oooof.
Martin is un-be-lievable.
46 seconds is monstrous.
at least Wiggo beat Spartikins.

Glad Wiggo showed strongly at the finish. Now for the road race. If a Brit is denied (and I don't care who it is) I'd like to see Sparticus put them all to the sword.

How come the individual time trial is nationality, the team time trial is by 'team' (Sky / OPQS etc.) and the road race is nationality?

Why not do a national team time trial?

"I'd like to see Sparticus put them all to the sword. "

Even if it means a Brit not winning for me.... Legend.

But I've got a man crush and would like to see him in the rainbow jersey 😳

I assume it's because the national TTT team would never get to wear the bands?

I think its because its only time a national team would race and therefore no one would ever wear the jersey, unlike the ITT or RR

Martin is a bloody machine! Mightily impressive stuff.

Considering Cancellara has really been targeting the road race that not bad going for him either.
