Doin the Megavalanche with a mate this year and was wandering what the best way for those who've flown to Lyon before, was the easiest way to get from the airport to Alp d Huez.Didnt factor in the price of transfers nearly hitting 4 hundred plus quid return for two people!! Anyone know a cheaper way??

I've got the bus to Grenoble then changed on another bus to alpd huez, tho my mates were driving my bike out, in sure you could still take a bike bagged up
Kinda messed up my timings and had to spend the night at Grenoble bus station which was 'interesting' and did end up getting searched by some douchebag gendarmes tho which I wouldn't recommend

Can you drive?
Hire a car
It's a relatively easy drive (at least compared to the 9 hours straight we did from the UK last year) and plenty of free parking around Alp d'Huez

If your at this Lyon Airport

09h38 LYON SAINT EXUPERY TGV
10h42 GRENOBLE STATION
direct TGV Duration 1h04

http://www.sncf.com/en/services/tickets-bookings
Direct Train to Grenoble, Bus Station is next door and has a bus to Bourg d'Ossian (Start of the 21 switchbacks to AdH) Then another bus or Taxi from there. Fairly Painless

Think it was about 30 euros

Looked at trains but didn't match up with flights
