I'm heading off on Saturday evening and Ive got BC membership with a provisional race licence but it hasn't arrived in the post yet.

BC have emailed me a temporary copy, Has anyone used their temporary letter? (its got the licence number and my photo on)

don't want to get caught for not being able to race.

You should be fine. They refused my BC provisional licence, but when I messaged them on FB matey said it was fine. I'm bringing a doctors note as well just in case they don't accept my licence.

I don't have the doctors not to take with me is my main issue! Might be cutting it fine for a doctors note.

Who refused your licence?

The ucc organzers. The same ones who said it would be fine over Facebook.

RE doctors note they don't actually check them. Not suggesting you forge one but...

I did that last year but at sign on they also wanted a doctors note. Luckily I'd done a Blue Peter

Phone bc and upgrade to silver. You'll get full license with that and they'll email you a copy of your license and cert to race.
I did this for last week's enduro 2, and they didn't know how mega organisers got away with using provisional licenses.

I have used the letter earlier this year in France but it was for a full licence, a provisional licence dose not give the insurance you need to race in France.
So as above upgrade and get a full UCI licence or pay for the insurance when you get here.

They accepted the insurance with no doc note from me for the last 3 years. I did show my provisional licence last year too.

Looks like I bought the insurance when I signed up (assurance multisport it's down as at €17.50) I might upgrade my BC as well covered either way then I guess.

Thanks

Basically cover as many bases as you can as the organisation is shambolic!

What does this insurance actually cover?

I remember reading the smallprint last year and it seemed pretty useless. I always use dogtag, they cover airlifts, medical expenses and stolen, lost kit

I've got dogtag as well, certainly won't be relying on the organisers insurance everything is so vague!

I think in the past they would accept DogTag as it's listed as racing cover (take the printout)but their insurance is the quick way.
