[Closed] Mechanical Lockout On Coil Forks - Mechanically Sympathetic?

I have an RST Blaze 100mm coil fork with Mechanical lockout on my BSO (Beone Spirit Sport). (Don't judge me!)

This winter it's getting a lot of use at night on flat-ish off road tracks and tarmac paths to and from those tracks. Would it be mechanically unsympathetic to leave it locked out? I'm sure to connect with the odd tree root/lump/kerb/pothole and I'm thinking I'm risking bending something. Hitherto I've only locked it out on smooth tarmac. (Which is never.)

Switching to a rigid fork would work fine, but I want to leave the existing fork on for occasional visits to QEII park.

Some might say a rigid fork would be better than the existing sprung fork... Should I just swap anyway?

It’ll be fine. Most forks are designed to move a bit when locked out under duress for just this reason.
