Just setting up the gears on a bike and the bike wont shift down into the two highest/smallest cogs on the back because the top of the mech is fouling the chainstay of the frame stopping it move across. I've got the two big bolts of the mech inline at 90 degrees with the ground to hold the mech down as far as possible but it still catches. The screw adjusting the distance between the first jockey and cassette is wound fully out too. Whats making it catch?
**** knows. Chain too long or short? What frame is it?
What sort of mech is it? Also not sure what you mean by the "two big bolts"? If it's a Shimano Shadow/Shadow+ and you're talking about the link where it meets the frame, this should be pointing straight back and parallel to the ground
Mojo HD. Legend I couldn't get them parrallel to the ground as it held the mech too high
EDIT: It's a ZEE so shadow plus
Photos would help.
The mounting link isn't something you setup, it is designed to go straight back like this:
If you can't do that then something else is amiss. If it's one of these:
then I'll need a photo of your setup to see whats going on, looks like there should be loads of room
Got it sorted I think the link was loose and the mech fell forward. Thanks for the help guys
