Help required - removed the lowers on my 2006 Mazocchi Marathon SL fork to check/clean seals and change oil. I have not done anything to either the doppio cartridge or TST cartridge.
Now I cannot get the TST cartridge back into the sanctions because of the rubber lung. It seems too tight for it to pass through thread for the top cap and I do not want to force it in.
Not found anything on the web to help! 😮
I had this exact problem with a 2005 pair about 18 months ago. I found some instructions that I can email to you if you like?
Hi Willej,
Appreciate you help, please send anything you have to kevan@labelsandtags.com
Cheers
YGM.
Had the same problem a few months ago, which was suprising as I didn't have it the previous time I serviced the forks.
Anyway, I solved it by putting the TST rod in the freezer to get the oil to contract AND oiling the outside of the TST bladder and inside of the fork leg to reduce friction.
Kevan1066 - I'd be interested in your instructions too in case there's a simpler way. Email in profile pretty please.
EDIT - also check the compression damping is set to lowest!
Just forwarded the instructions to you, longwayhome.
Hi guys thanks for your replies I will give it a go again in the next day or so when I have made some space in the freezer! 😀
If I cannot get sorted windwave have said they can set the TST up so one way or another I should be sorted!
Cheers
It's pretty straight forward if you follow the instructions and no need for the freezer!
Good luck.
Yup it shouldn't be a problem! Don't force it as those bladders are very tricky to get ahold of!
You need to play with cycling the damper cart with the compression damping turned one way or the other and the bladder will contract allowing you to re-insert it in the fork leg. Make sure its bled properly too otherwise it'll ride like a bag of crap.
Hi Guys, I desperately need the instructions to bleed the TST cartridge, mine is 2006 Marathon SL so it has the rubber lung/sleeve
I search the web and learned that there is video for Marazocchi TST bleeding instruction, can someone please post the link?
Please help. Thanks very much.
Please help. Thanks!
Let me know your email address and I'll send you the instructions.

Hi sana75, YGM.
Hi willey,
I'm also very interested in the tech manual and especially the TST bleed instructions. Teared down my -06 SL today and noticed the TST cartridge need some overhaul..
I sent you a mail with my address.
willej, thanks for the manual and bleed instructions!
Does anybody know if there are differens compression assemblies on the -06 Marathons? I can't remove mine with a 10mm spanner, only 24mm socket. Also it is in one piece, and it looks like the upper sleeve for the rubber bladder will come of removing it. Mine looks like this:

I also found a TST bleeding instruction video on youtube:
This is how I tought the compression assembly would look like.
Should I still bleed it from above, or can it be done through the bottom (rebound side)?
I don't use the lockout that much, so actually I could skip the bleeding. Any risk of damaging the fork doing so?
I remember trying to fill the lung completely, never figured it out. When I rebuilt the fork they no longer stayed locked down to a lower travel(whatever that function was called). Such a complicated fork.
