So I'm looking to get some faster rolling summer tyres for the hard pack tracks on the Malvern's now the trails are starting to dry out.
Currently running a Shorty/DHR2 combo which has been fantastic in the winter conditions. Tracks are mainly hard pack, rocky with some loose sections so thinking that the Ikon 2.35" could be a good.
Anyone using them for similar stuff? Will be going on a 170mm full-sus and I like to hit stuff as quick as possible.
Would it make a good front tyre or would I be better putting the trusty DHF back on the front, Ikon rear?
Have tried Ardent's front and back but didn't get on with them..

I've used them all year round. Surprising amount of grip for a summer tyre.

The only point it struggled was on a section of gloopy trail that hat been churned up by a motor cross bike. The rear is getting a bit worn now, will probably replace with another.

A good mix a fast roll and grip in my opinion.

I run a exo tr as my summer tyre of choice. That's for XC use front and rear. It's pretty puncture resistant up on the downs also.
