Hi, I have purchased some MAXXIS High Rollers Super Tacky and was wondering if they would wear down really quickly ??

Not really quick but quicker than others. I find the knobs peel off the base rather than wear down.

They also have more drag than Danny La Rue, but are very grippy.

I've had one on the front for about 8 months or so. Ridden every day and only a little worn down but the knobs now look spongy (for want of a better description) - full of tiny holes and tears. Still plenty grippy enough though.

On the back, the supertackies wear like they're made of haribo.

Stick like shit to a blanket, but a weeks hard riding (in chiang mai, thailand) saw the side knobs begining to tear off...

But I love 'em all the same

Bit of both James (including short 3 miles each way road commute Mon-Fri), with a 30 min-1 hour ride to and from the trails at weekends.

Been running the same super tacky high rollers for about 3 years now! Probably need to change them - but they still work fine for me!

I have HR's front and rear but found a st too draggy and overkill on the rear. 60A on the back, st on the front is a good combination imo.

ST's are pretty awsome & my front lasts a good 4 months with riding daily of about 1hr but 3 each weekend day. HR SS on back equals out the drag in my opinion...

@ James0706 - I mean 3 on Sat & 3 on Sun. Sorry about my unclear manner sometimes - I should take more care!
