Are these tyres stupidly big, and draggy?

Big...Yes.
Draggy...Not too much (at least in clown size).

A tight squeeze in the back of my 456 (seatstay bridge 5mm clearance, chainstays fine)
Less daggy than the 2.35 HR it replaced
Wheel tie straps on the bike carrier struggle to go round it!

Big volume but definitely not draggy. About my favourite all round tyre ever.

yup... ran a 2.4 Adv. pn the rear for the last 2yrs including one summer's worth of guiding in the alps.

good tyre. wear wasn't at all bad considering the amount of asphalt ridden.

replaced with 2.4 Rubber Q. also good.

I have them on my 456SS, the bestest tyre ever, even though in proper sticky gloopy mud they prevented my wheel from turning in the frame. Not the best tyre for commuting 25kms on roads though (from experience).
