Recently bought some mavic ust wheels and was wondering on the best tubeless setup. I've used stans rims for a good few years and run them tubeless with standard tyres no problems. The same tyres seem a bit baggy on the Mavic rims though and don't seem to take air at all,so do I have to use UST tyres or TLR? If you do use normal tyres, any tips on how to inflate them.
IME - UST rims = UST tyres or at least TLR or 2 bliss.
I've never had a problem with any Maxxis tyre (TLR, UST, dual ply, or standard folding bead) going up nicely on my Crossmax SX. I've had to use a compressor and remove the valve core on occasions but they've always gone up and stayed up.
