Not taken a Mavic or ratchet ring style free hub apart before. Why might it be slipping? Freehub seems fully seated. Any ideas would be great. Thanks

Yeah the ratchet ring fails and slips inside the freehub (certainly on mine)  when I spoke to mavic they said its not repairable on my older model, yours might be OK

i Christopher,

We’ve been contacted by Mavic USA?? Regarding your XA wheels.

The technology on this hub was called ITS4, the internal sprocket could not be changed or fixed, and Mavic don't have any original hub bodies to do the repair on .

However, it is possible to reassemble a new generation ID360 compatible hub, spokes, and hub parts.

I would say this would not be cheap and it would maybe worth looking at new wheels instead which would benefit from the new 2–3-year warranty and crash replacement scheme etc.

I had the same on mine. Super easy to replace. Just pull the freehub off (careful the spring doesn’t go flying) then hook out the rings and replace them with the new ones.

Wooo, new ratchet and spring sorted it. Amazing how much difference a slightly weakened spring can clearly make. Thanks all
