Just picked up a pair of these for not much money to put on a bike I'm only using for dry trails on my second bike which I'll be keeping overseas. They're not the lightest, but some folding Ardents make the pair seem a reasonable weight. Has anyone got opinions based on their use of them? I'll send them back and get something more expensive, lighter and more durable if there's a World of horror stories out there, but it seemed a decent choice for a build that'll only get limited use. Cheers and happy new year.
Using tubes by the way.
Repoted from yesterday.
I've got some Crossroc 650b wheels, which are very similar. Maybe a little flexy compared to 32 spoked wheels, but seem to have held up well enough to some trips to Afan, etc.
Mavics seem to be well built, if a little heavy compared to other brands. I've been abusing some Crosslands on various bikes for 10 years, and they've never even needed a true.
Thanks for that. I was wondering if, at only £100 posted for the pair, I'd gone too cheap, but given how they look, feel, and what you say, they have to be worth a try.
