I'm planning on getting some 15mm Mavic Crossrides soon and some Sektor forks at a later date (going to give the 15mm maxle route a go). Just wondering if it's possible to convert the 15mm front hub to QR until I get the forks in a few weeks?
Pretty sure you can, just buy the q/r inserts that plug in the ends of the axle.
Be careful on this as the Crossrides have 100mm wide through axles and although they will accept the bush to reduce to QR, it will make them too long to comfortably fit in the forks.
I have researched this a lot as I thought the same and just bought some Crosrides, but alas they are now no good ... oops
You could make up your own axle by using a 15mm to 9mm hollow bush / sleeve and then use a 9mm skewer (Like the DT thing), but I have decided it is too much faffing.
