I have a set of new to me, 2022 Mavic Crossmax SL wheels with - supposedly - boost spacing. Oddly however, the front hub appears to measure approximately 106mm across, which means there's about 4mm free space when you offer it up to a standard, 110mm boost fork.

I'm guess there's something random going on with the hub spacers / adapters, but I'm slightly baffled as to what. Anyone know offhand if it's maybe possible for someone to have fitted, say, two disc-side or two non disc-side adapters assuming they're different sizes but the same diameter? Or something else entirely? Mildly bemused here. Thanks!

Try fitting the wheel using some 2mm washers, see if the rotor sits centrally in the caliper with a 2mm washer each side, if so then both end caps are 2mm short

Try again with both 2mm washers on one side and see if the rotor sits centrally in the caliper, then repeat again on the other side, that way you can see what end cap is too short

Ah, I think it's maybe missing some adapters.

Thanks, but I'm pretty sure it's basically missing a pair of adapters, which apparently are quite a loose fit and prone to detaching themselves. These things:

Figured it out after looking at the Mavic exploded diagram for the hub.

https://technicalmanual.mavic.com/tech-mavic/technical_manual/pdf/getProductSheet.php?macronu=30899&declinaison=FRONT&filialenu=2&co=US

New ones ordered. I'll look at some way of sticking them onto the hub.

Ta for the input, maybe this will help someone else in the future.
