Does this happen to all road wheels if they don't get any TLC?
I'm really lazy when it comes to servicing and cleaning and want to buy, fit and forget wheel. Would Hope Pro 3 on an Open Pro rim last any longer or would I be in the same position next year?

all mavic factory wheels are notorious for it . Was more often than not the case when folk brought em in for truing other than on peoples pure summer bikes.
a set of pro 3s on open pros built with brass nipples would be alot more fit and forget.
my mavic wheels are siezed solid (although have been used since 2005) they are also dead straight.... if i need to tweek ill have to replace.
As above, the plastic spoke spanner is hopeless but there is a metal version from CRC or similar for a bit more heft..
