I'd like to take this oppertunity to publicly thank IA for his incredibly generous act of giving me his old Giant Trance frame for the princely sum of ZERO. (See HERE for the reason why)
I cant thank you enough, I really am very grateful indeed.

Im in the process of building it up and hope to have it ready to ride (time permitting) in the next week or so.
Its currently totally stripped down and so far I've removed all the frame bearings (new ones included with the frame) cleaned and waxed it, the next job will be to heli-tape the more vulnerable parts, then fit the suspension bearings, a quick air-can service, then swap all the bits originally from my Specialized (after taking them off their temporary home on my Marin HT, hastily put together for a BPW trip on Sunday just gone). Everything should pop straight on.

I'll post some pics up of the build when I get a moment.

So big big big thumbs up to IA and I hope you enjoyed the beer!

Very charitable IA, if only there were more people in society like you.
Well done man, some great karma coming your way!

Glad the frame's out there being appreciated rather than sat getting dusty in my spare room 🙂

I think I maybe collected my karma in advance - I had perfect sunny weather at bike park Wales on Saturday 🙂

Once again thanks.
Yes Sunday was a little wet in the morning, but it dried out nicely in the afternoon.

Bike finally built up over the weekend and managed to get out for a nice evening ride last night.
Rides really well and climbs with less bobbing than the old enduro.

IA has my vote for STWer of the year.

This thread has restored my faith in humanity, am really pleased to see such a positive outcome.

🙂 Chapeau IA

BTW we had a sharing thread somewhere but I cannot find it - any links ?

I've put my old Reign frame up "for sale" but the target price could be very low
