Currently got an old 2016 pair of Lyrik RC charger 1 forks. They’ve never felt great so looking at upgrading them.

Always been a Rockshox boy as I’ve never liked the feel of Fox FIT. However the Grip damper is getting so many rave reviews that it’s caught my eye together the new Lyrik RC2.

Anyone riden the new Lyrik and a grip fox/Marzocchi fork and care to give some feedback?

Just come from a lyrik rc2 to fox 36 rhythm (same as z1 apart from lowers).

I find the fox rhythm a stiffer sturdier fork, nicely sensitive, but does lose out against the lyrik rc2 in terms of balancing sensitivity and support. Pretty close to dropping a grip2 damper in there, been told by silverfishuk it'll fit both the rhythm 36 and marzocchi Z1s, I think these will outperform the lyriks then in all respects.

Basically unless you're trying to hammer steep stuff, the z1 will be an excellent fork.

Had a 2019 36 with grip damper and now run a lyric rc2. I have had several fox now with the fit 4, rc2 and the basic grip which the z1 has in. I did just not like the feel of the 36, not that plush dived a bit and on prolonged rough descents my hands just ached with it. Lyrik rc2 I have now is far superior for me, I have not tried a grip 2 damper but these are dear to either drop in or buy the fork.
