I have some 2005 marzocchi z1 freeride 2 forks. The travel is adjustable internally between 130 - 150mm by moving 20mm spacers about.

I made my own 30mm spacer from a piece of handlebar to drop the travel to 120mm, which has been fine for the months Ive used it.

However, I ve come to the conclusion the forks are a bit stiff due to having to compress the springs 10mm to fit them in the stanchions.

Does anyone know if I can get shorter springs or lighter springs for these forks from anywhere?

Alternatively, does anyone have any old marzocchi springs knocking about that they dont want that I could buy/borrow to see if they work. Something from some dirtjumper forks might be ideal

Also, what are the implications of only running one spring in the forks rather than two?

Any help would be wonderful
