So being a bit ambitious I attempted an oil change myself on my bombers. Made a bit of mess but it all went back together properly.

Put them back on last night and they don't rebound. They do come back up but very slowly. Another thing is that the two adjuster caps on the top don't seem to have a limit to their adjustment, they just spin and spin so I can't even dial any of it out as the caps don't seem to be doing anything.

Anyone got any ideas?

If I can't sort them then they're going to Loco. Used Windwave last time but their website seems out of action.

Take the top caps off, see if you can adjust it without them?

Did you separate the top caps from the cartridges? If so check to make sure they have not become separated.
If you are checking be very careful not to over tighten as they have a double thread. Internal and external and it is delicate. I broke 2 was a very expensive rebuild

I've had the tops caps off to put preload air pressure in and it made no difference. I've just had an email from a lad I know and he's said the top caps may not be fully in i.e. not connected to the damper rods so not actually doing anything, going to give that a try tonight.

molgrips - nah, once they work these forks are bloody brilliant even if though do weigh more than a small moon

graham - yes I did. Watched a vid on YouTube where the chap doesn't bother just lets the oil drain overnight rather than pumping the dampers to get rid of oil. I'll know for next time. 🙄
