Anybody got experience of this fork and how the compare to lyriks or van 36's?
I know Dirt really rate them but any actual 'normal'(on here?) persons views would be good.

Got a set on a Nukeproof Mega, matches well with the CCDB on the rear.

Had a Fox 36 Van previously and wanted to stick with a coil fork, and like you had heard good things about them. Glad I bought it, and got a good deal at the time too. Had no problems, very supple and tunable to the way I wanted it to ride, so far so good and would buy the same again if I had too.

Think there was some previous threads, might be worth searching for for some other opinions.

Super plush and fantastic damping with a solid chassis, but recently, I've been having problems with my axle, which has just enough play to make hideous creaking and cracking noises~ however, if I was the original owner, I'd be well within the 3 year warranty. (definately the axle, after a long winded process of elimnation which had me blaming the steerer/crown, headset and wheel bearings and checking another wheel in the fork)

As for spring weights, I imagine there must be a variety, because mine sag correctly and put up with my 16st abuse without any air assist.

Have been running a set for a few months - awesome forks. Perform better than the Van RC2s I had previously, more reliable than the Lyrik Coil RC2DH they replaced.
And you can get them in purple 😉

Brilliant, brilliant forks.

I borrowed a set of a mate to use in the alps this summer - I liked them so much I bought them off him and build a whole bike around them 🙂

Think the later the year the better. 2012 models are 170mm I think, up from 160mm. I bought 2010s online, half price, and they're great so far - touch wood.

Sorry, yes, forgot to say mine are 2011 forks. I think wl's comment is a good one - get the latest ones you can.

Yep, I've ordered 2011's . Think 2010 & 2011 are exactly the same and 2012 has a slighltly different damper (rc3 evo) and is 170mm.

I have heard some great things about the recent Marzocchi forks and it would have been my number one choice

BUT

I have borrowed a pair of BOS Deville's, and oh my god...they are the best bit of suspension I have ever used, and super light.
