Looking to replace the oil in my Rc3 Ti's and grease up the seals. Ive seen the pinkbike vid for the air forks and serviced loads of Rockshox and Fox forks.

Do I have to mess with the top of the fork dials just to drop the lowers?

Is it not like RS and Fox - just undo the lower leg bolt/allen key - pull and all the oil gush out. Clean, lube and refill with appropriate level of 7.5wt (i have the oil charts). No messing with the top of the fork at all.

Am I missing something?

you'd probably have to cycle the damper a bit to get all the oil out of that too?

tbh, Windwave only charge about £60 for a service including a seal change and did a fast turn around when I used them.

That's great and £60 is a great price when the full service is due.

But I just want to do a quick seal clean and grease and change the oil like I would do regularly with my RS forks. This will cost me about £2.50 in oil. So I don't want to send them away and pay £60 for general maintainence when I can do it myself.

Any other help or instructions on a simple lower leg drop?

From doing mine i would say that you don't have to take the top dial off, particularly on the compression side where there is annoying ball bearing which is a faff to put back. I followed the instructions last time and can't see the benefit. Nothing attaches to it, its just a glorified valve. Wouldn't be surprised if they make you do it to avoid some clown undoing the fork legs at the bottom with 70psi in there still.

Great cheers for the info - I don't run any air in mine anyway.

Rik, sorry, read your title a bit quickly without engaging brain. I've got the Marz 44 Micro Ti 29er so not sure if your 26er version is the same.
