i have tried to service the forks and cannot figure out how to even take the DBC cartridge to bits and bleed it. It is this fork

https://www.marzocchi.com/support/forks/2015/2015-350-ncr-titanium-160.aspx?idC=62354&idM=20327-1570-1561&idMy=20302&idP=20307-719&idS=20438

Several guides seem to suggest using the same process as the LR cartridge but it looks completely different and it looks very simple compared to the NCR cartridge. I cannot see how to even take it apart. Tried pretty much everything in the tool box but cannot un screw it.

Anyone able to help?

Every article I've seen says don't like the LR (presumably you've seen the video of the Italian guy doing a LR).

When I service my NCR air forks I don't strip the cartridge down.

In the same boat here exact same fork. Damping had stopped working and the lower part of the damper had unscrewed from the top half in the leg! If i find anything I'll reply here

The LR cartridge looks very different and is easy to disassemble by hand with no tools. The DBC cartridge in the CR and R forks look more similar to the LR. The NCR needs disassemble and recharging with ~180cc of oil according to the manual. It does not look like it has enough volume to hold more than 100cc! So very confused.

Glad I am not the only one!

Nixie, can you bleed the cartridge when it assembled?

No idea, never tried. It stays full of oil so I don't touch it.

I got mine apart without any trouble.. i forget how though!

if its just the oil you want to change though..

you can unscrew the lockout / compression adjuster assembly at the top of the cartridge fairly easily.. pour the oil out of the cart.. refill..  cycle the cart a bit to remove any bubbles.. top up.. put back together.. job jobbed..

the dynamic bleed nature of the cart means any overfill will just bleed out on the first few compression strokes..

theres a guide i found on google somewhere that shows the process better than ive described.. ill see if i can find it in a bit..

Great, how do you unscrew the compression/ lockout adjuster? I have taken the top caps etc off but I an left with the bit that looks like a cog (part 94 in the diagram, parts 95 and above are off). I cannot see how to get this off.

Thanks for the help
