Would like to service the above forks and would like a good, simple step by step guide.
Any help would be good.
Thanks

Pinkbike did a how to for the 44 and the 55 is basically the same.

There are also a few threads on here where it's been discussed.Linky for one

It's probably worth doing. The plastic wrap on my 66 spring had disintegrated so worth an oil change.

Oil wise use maxima racing fork oil. Nearest to original spec 7.5 weight. You could add a slight bit of ten weight as they prefer a slightly thicker oil.

They have started to feel a bit notchy after a season in the alps.
Thanks for the tips.

I found that PB link useful when I did my 44ti.

Didn't have any 7.5 wt around so used 10wt instead. If anything, I think it's actually been better (but then I'm not light).

Have you removed the foam wipers under the stanchion seals? Apparently these dry out and cause them to feel notchy. Out of experimental interest I put them back in last time I serviced mine and they now feel notchy 😳

Time for another strip down; thankfully an easy task

I lifted the seals on my 55RCs and wacked some Stendec slick stuff in, lots more betterer.
