Got some from a mate and they have started to wind down during decents, bit of a pain, not sure if I have my pressures wrong or something worse

bit less wind in the negative chamber might fix it. Or more in the positive chambers
or you have a leak in the ata cartridge, it will let oil out of the cartridge chamber into the main body of the fork, mine did that, so replaced them in the end
What year are they? I had some a few years ago, and they did just that - the ATA cartridge was replaced under warranty.
i have some 2008 ones, they did this and the cartridge was replaced. Think they had started to do it again before I switched them.
