Now forgive me for being nieve here but is it possible to combine the rear swing arm, linkage and shock of a marin attack trail to the frame of a mount vision?
The reason I ask is I have an attack trail and I love the way it rides and feels but to me it seems a bit heavy and OTT construction wise for what I ride (South Wales trail centres mainly) and I haven't the kahooners for big jumps and the like.
I have the opportunity to buy a mount vision frame and transfer my kit over, but was just wondering about the possibility of the 'attack vision/mount trail' to give me the extra travel
I'm not the lightest at about 83kgs and currently run a pike 308 fork on the attack trail
Am I just being daft?
I think this would not work the way you intend it to. The MV was designed for the angles and travel it currently exhibits.
Spend the money on a lighter bike with similar travel to the AT.
If you are really stuck on Marin try swapping the tank wheels that come with the AT for better rolling, robust lightweights. Depending on what you ride obviously!
Cheers zedz, it was just a thought......
Currently running hope pro2 with 721 rims, so might just look at other avenues as you suggest
What age are the bikes? I could be wrong but think that some of the designs you could do it, some you couldn't.
AT is 2010 not sure on the MV waiting to hear from seller
Probably not on a 2010 I'd have thought.
Think my mates old Wolf Ridge was a 2010 and that was a hefty beast but very capable.
As mentioned above, I'd sell the complete bike and put the money to something that better fits the bill or spend the frame money on some lighter bits.
