Right… I’m eligible for another cyclescheme purchase again next week, and I’m thinking about getting a Marin Four Corners, mainly for a commute of around 15 miles each way that’s mostly on gravel bridleways with some short sections of road at each end. And to double up for longer bikepacking and touring trips too.
Right now, I’m doing that commute on a fatbike, which is only marginally more efficient than doing it on my full susser. I am hitting the top 20% in most Strava segments on the fattie though, but that means pedalling like a %$@#&!
That thing is heavy.
So, does anyone have any experience with the Marin? I’ve only found limited reviews online, but I like that it’s steel framed and forked. I also think that Marin’s utilitour marketing has gotten to me too. And there’s the whole n+1 thing, but that’s a different matter.
So… what’s the consensus? Marin FC good? Or bad? Anyone?
