We are sorry to report that the End 2 End will not be happening again in the future.

This is due to no committee willing to take on the challenge.

Posts have been turned off on this post and this page will shut down on 1st January 2022.

Sad news, I've done 12 over the years, starting before it got popular Atworth about 300 entrants, all through the big years capped at 1700.

That’s disappointing, I love the island and this was always a bucket list event for me!

I've got fond memories of the E2E,I did my first one in 2003,it was a bit of an adventure getting the ferry & being away for a few nights to ride a bike across the island.Training for that event is what got me back into cycling & properly into MTB's,one of my better decisions.
I always think of the E2E when I'm back over there for TT & the Glassic TT.
Every time I ride my motorbike along that road to Cregneash I think aboutthe E2E & that hill at the end...

Yep gutted... loved it! BC got a round of their mtb marathon series there 31st July so maybe look at that for a weekend away instead... tho not sure how much hassle will be involved in BC entry

That is part of the Manx100, with 100 mile, 100km and 50km options. Different event in the course and feel, but also very good. The BC marathon event will run in parallel to the normal event, so easy to enter without BC licence.

That's a shame, it was a great event.

One of the most enjoyable events I've ever done, was booked to go again with mrsfoo until covid got in the way. Hopefully Manx100 will still run, that event was sabotaged this year...

Might go and just ride some of the trails anyway over a few days, are they legit the rest of the year? Not bothered about the bits that cross fields.

Most trails are accessible, only a few private land. The plantations are a bit of a mess at the moment after the recent big storms, lot of trees still down across trails.

Sad to hear. I was involved in the very first event and then raced a few times in the last 10 years

Unfortunately, XC is a dying sport 🙁

I've got an entry in the 2-day enduro in July though - a touch more extreme than the E2E )

I rode some of the 100 a couple of years back, until I got hypothermia (yes, in August!)

Was amazed by the trails on the island. Some really quick tricky stuff. It's bloody expensive to get there mind you...

That's a pity as it was on my to do list at some point.
The 2 day enduro looks good value - depending on accommodation costs - flights don't seem too bad with easy jet (depends on cost of adding a bike).

That's a shame I had planned to do this last year before Covid kicked in. Entered, accomodation booked and then the IOM locked down their borders. Forfeited entry money to help them out. Was keeping an eye out for this years date...

Wait until you see how expensive train travel is in the UK... I go over fairly regularly and think the boats are reasonably priced, especially since they don't charge any extra for bringing the bike. Easyjet flights also very cheap.

Yes, nearly all of the route is open, plus loads of other good riding.

Less than £50 return on foot with bike, this was 2019, that's pretty cheap. Lots of AirBnbs too.
