Had a set of wheels built for me last February and I have just noticed these cracks the wheels have had a few dings with running low pressure but nowt really bad.
Should the shop be liable for replacement Ie rebuild if Stans warranty the rim?

Doesn't really matter to you tbh mate, first port of call is the shop, then they proceed from there.
Early Hugo's cracked a lot - they revised the extrusion as far as I know. Maybe yours is an early one?
Pics sent to Paligap hopefully new rim on its way
Dang.
Hope this gets sorted - Whats the warranty on the rim?
Runs off to the garage to check my 27.5'' V1 rims
If the shop supplied the rims then they should rebuild them. If you gave them to the the shop there's not much you can do. A rim swap is pretty easy. Line up the valve hole, tape the new rim to the old one and move each spoke over 1 at a time. The shop might do you a deal on the finish truing if you can't get it.
I found a very similar thing on my Flow MK3 yesterday, was going post a similar thread. They were built in October, so I'm guess are fairly early ones - anyone had similar with Flows? Sorry for the hijack.
My mate had to send his flow Mk3s back 2 weeks ago for the very same issue, he'd had his since Feb
Stans were rebuilding the wheels FOC but was taking a while to sort
Thanks Kimbers, that's good news (sort of).
all too common-one reason hope went to make -or have there own rim made .
Wild guess - that's the drive side spokes on the rear that have cracked??
Rims generally crack like that due to weight over time, they're stress cracks. I've ruined rims like that by using lightweight MTB rims for touring. They were absolutely fine for while then every drive side spoke hole developed a crack. I was expecting that at some point and it didn't bother me. That's the area that takes the most punishment.
Now, by my way of thinking, you've not had enough load over enough time to do that to those rims unless there' something you've not told us - Like you're 18 stone and do 300 miles a week, or you've been doing fully loaded tours in hilly areas!
But, that said, Stans build to a lower tension than most rims, generally due to the lack of eyelets but also (IMO) because they're on the light and flimsy side. (Personally I wouldn't use them as I think they're too light) So they might have been built too tight especially if the builder hasn't checked the tension, which could be the problem.
So yeah, go back to whoever built them and ask how he checked the tension, and what the tension of those rims should have been
That's what I'd do first ....
I've just re read the OP
By 'Last February' do you mean 2017 or 2016? That sort of reads 2016 to me....
Bought last Feb first used in March for mainly bike packing duties but done quite a few Lakes rides on gnarly stuff and did the Ardrock . cracks are on both sides!!
