Birthday coming up wife’s wants gift ideas so thought about getting one of the sender manual machines which I thought would be good for me and the boy to mess about on, but are they actually any good for progressing your manual skills. I realise nothing beats the real thing and I’ve put a embrassing amount of hours into practice and iam still shite.
Can’t be arsed building one especially if wife is prepared to buy one so cost aside worth it?
teaches you the basic shape you need to loft the front wheel, does not teach you how to manual. I made one, which i am great on, but still rubbish actual manual-ling...if you do get one, take your chain off when you use it.
#edit# someone will be along in a min to tell you to use the money on a skills course.
Worked for me.
Really helps understand where your body needs to be. It's a helpful tool for sure. I can keep it up on the machine longer then rolling down the road. But to be honest I can't keep it up for very long either way.... we're still talking about manual machines, right?
