Erm.... how is this supposed to work?
I can install it and close the lever into the locked position but there is no friction when closing it - i.e it's just a bit flippity-flappety?
It's almost like I want to rotate the lever round and round to make the closing action of the lever harder like a normal QR mechanism, but I am too thick to work out how to actually make this happen?
I think there is a collar on the axle to adjust the tension. Have you looked on the manitou website?
OTOMH...
The end of its got little pins you push it in and get it to lock then
you unscrew the the other end out whilst holding the lever which should give you you the friction your after.
Mines in Spain so I can’t take a pic buts it’s a weird thing.
You insert it turn it 90° clockwise
then screw out the nut underneath the lever until there's enough resistance to close the lever tightly.
It's not very intuitive, but you get it after a while
It's been a few years since I had one but there is one part you can turn to pre-load it. on mine it was silver and had a spring behind it.
Hi there is a metal silver nut next to the qr lever. You use this to adjust tension - just like a hope qr seat post. Does that help?
See right at the end of this...
Got it! Yes! Thank you!
You just spin the silver metal thing!
